After Words- Courage to Continue

Location: Marine Parade Library
Date: 27 Jul 2012
Time: 7:30 PM - 9:00 PM

It's Friday, and you had a long week. Now all you'd like to end off the week with is an open and lively discussion on a book, together with like-minded individuals.

After Words is a platform for the public and the literary industry to build communities through books. By giving monthly opportunities for all to read and discuss books in a fun environment, they aim to encourage people to get into the habit of reading and motivating them in civic responsibilities to their communities. This initiative is supported by Ethos Book Club.

This month's discussion will be on the Courage to Continue, based on two books- Ordinary Stories in an Extraordinary World by Aquilah Teo and A Philosopher's Madness by Lishan Chan. Lishan Chan, mental health advocate and author of A Philosopher's Madness, together with our very own youth support worker, Ang Suying, will be present to share and join in on the discussion.

Do come down and join us for an evening of enriching, yet light-hearted discussions! Registration is free. Do approach their customer service counter for more information. You may call them at 6332-3255 or email them at helpdesk@nlb.gov.sg or enquiry@ethosbooks.com.sg too.
